Kapiti Dinner Report
Sep 28, 2008
Over 100 people attended the Bible Society’s Kapiti Action Group Annual Dinner on Friday 19th September. They all enjoyed a lovely three course meal and part of their ticket cost went to help support the work of the Bible Society.
Three invited guests, Kapiti Mayor Jenny Rowan, Darren Hughes Labour MP for Otaki and Nathan Guy National Party list MP, all brought a greeting to those attending. Out-going Chairman of the Action group, Rev. Blair Rodgers and his wife Lorna were welcomed as special guests by the in-coming Chairman, Rev. Ted Brash.
Mark Brown, Bible Societies CEO and guest speaker for the evening spoke about ‘Bible Society: A Mission worth Pursuing’. Mark also showed Rob Harley’s video about the opening of the new Amity Bible Press in China.
A great evening was had by all who attended, with an offering taken to provide ‘Bible Paper’ for the Amity Bible
